Welcome to My Page

Chris O'Neill

Having debated for quite some time whether or not I was going to run the TCS New York City Marathon again this year (#3!), a new little monster (kitten) came in to my life and I took it as a sign that I needed not only to run, but to run and raise money for Team Paws.

I now have two cats who have come to me in unlikely ways. You may remember Kitt, who I found abandoned in the stairwell of my building. After trying unsuccessfully to find her humans, she took up residence and I can't imagine life without her. Sweet, goofy, and loud, she is the calmest and friendliest cat I've ever known.

Gus, the new kitten, came to me via my friend Molly. A stray (who now has a foster home!) had taken up residence in the entryway to her apartment to give birth. Molly cared for the kittens for 6 weeks and then reached out to find homes for them. She posted pictures on Facebook and I knew that one of them was mine. I went over to meet them, and Gus came home that day and has been causing cute mayhem ever since.

With two massive hurricanes already this year, the amount of homeless pets is colossal. When considering donating, think of your own pets, both past and present, and imagine how much joy these homeless pets could bring to a new family if given the chance.

Team Paws is the charity I ran my first marathon for in 2015 (please see their statement below) and will always hold a special place in my heart. Any donation truly is appreciated, not only by me, but by the great people at Paws Chicago, and most of all the pets looking for their forever homes.

Welcome Supporters!

PAWS Chicago is dedicated to building No Kill communities – starting with a No Kill Chicago – where all healthy and treatable pets are saved. Since PAWS Chicago’s founding in 1997, the number of homeless animals euthanized per year in Chicago has dropped more than 80 percent. In 2016, PAWS Chicago found loving homes for more than 5,100 homeless pets. But there is more work to be done and your generosity is crucial to this effort.

Please consider supporting me by making a donation and helping PAWS Chicago provide vital medical care, food and shelter to thousands of homeless pets this year. PAWS receives no government funding and relies solely on people like you to help provide continued care for Chicago's homeless animals.

Your support will allow us to build a truly humane and compassionate community, one pet at a time. Please consider donating to my cause.

If you are feeling extra generous, please consider sharing my page with your network or check with your employer if they will match your donation to make the most out of your generosity.

Thank you for your support!
