WE ARE SO CLOSE!!!!!! WE ARE SO CLOSE!!!!!!!

~~ Our Story ~~~

Before we ran the Chicago Marathon in 2015 we watched the inspirational movie "Spirit of the Marathon" which follows a group of runners training for this race. When we got to Chicago we were really excited and one of the exhibits at the expo was Team Paws Chicago. We had a natural affinity and bought shirts to support this organization. While we were on this trip we learned from a good friend that a dog was up for adoption in our home town that would be a good running buddy. As soon as we got home from the marathon, we went to the shelter and met a beautiful puppy that was spookily called "Spirit". We found our "Spirit of the Marathon" and so we adopted her and kept her shelter name <3.

Spirit has become an incredible trail runner. She has a big brother called Nacho and both enjoy running trails with us. These dogs encourage us on the hills and make the runs so much fun!.

As dog runners we are thrilled and honored to fundraise for homeless pets and to give such an special goal to our training and racing together.

~~ About this Charity~~~

PAWS Chicago is dedicated to building No Kill communities – starting with a No Kill Chicago – where all healthy and treatable pets are saved. Since PAWS Chicago’s founding in 1997, the number of homeless animals euthanized per year in Chicago has dropped more than 80 percent.

Please consider supporting me by making a donation and helping thousands of homeless pets this year. PAWS receives no government funding and relies solely on people like you to help provide continued care for Chicago's homeless animals.

Your support will allow us to build a truly humane and compassionate community, one pet at a time. Please consider donating to my cause.

~~ SPREAD THE WORD!~~~

If you are feeling extra generous, please consider sharing my page with your network or check with your employer if they will match your donation to make the most out of your generosity.

Thank you for your support!
