Help Me Save Another 28 Puppies and Kittens!

Lindsay Bordelon

Thank you SO much for your generosity and donation to this cause that is so dear to me! Your donation helps PAWS and other shelters save dogs and cats that might otherwise not make it. I sincerely appreciate your support!

A little backstory....

In 2016 I had the crazy idea of running my first marathon - the TCS New York City Marathon. An amazing lady (Anne) inspired me to take the charity marathon plunge and I knew I only wanted to fundraise for homeless puppies and kittens. My rescue dog, Etta (aka Tater), and rescued maine coon kitten, Chip (Chippers, Chiperoni, floofy) are my most favorite. I can't imagine my life without them and loved the idea of helping others find their best buds. Thus began my journey with PAWS Chicago!

The first Saturday of November 2016, after raising over $3,000 with the help of SO many fellow pet lovers and training for five months, I finished the New York City Marathon in 4:48:00 - far surpassing my goal of breaking 5 hours! It was the BEST DAY EVER! It still makes me emotional to think about it!

So here we are again, with another crazy dream of running the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon and raise money to save 28 more puppies or kittens. Raising $8,500 will not be an easy feat, but I know we can do it! Will you join me?!

PAWS Chicago is dedicated to building No Kill communities – starting with a No Kill Chicago – where all healthy and treatable pets are saved. Since PAWS Chicago’s founding in 1997, the number of homeless animals euthanized per year in Chicago has dropped more than 80 percent. In 2016, PAWS Chicago found loving homes for more than 5,100 homeless pets. But there is more work to be done and your generosity is crucial to this effort.

Please consider supporting me by making a donation and helping PAWS Chicago provide vital medical care, food and shelter to thousands of homeless pets this year. PAWS receives no government funding and relies solely on people like you to help provide continued care for Chicago's homeless animals.

What your donation can do:
$15 provides a microchip for one animal
$86 will provide one spay/neuter surgery
$263 funds basic care, vaccinations and spay/neuter for one HEALTHY pet, from arrival through adoption
$662 is the average cost of treating one sick or injured pet, from rescue to adoption
$1200 funds critical care for a pet with life threatening injuries

Your support will allow us to build a truly humane and compassionate community, one pet at a time. Please consider donating to my cause.

If you are feeling extra generous, please consider sharing my page with your network or check with your employer if they will match your donation to make the most out of your generosity.

Thank you for your support!
