Welcome Supporters and animal lovers from near and far!
This is my 3rd time (last year *would* have been the 3rd - but 2020, went, well you know) running the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on behalf of PAWS Chicago. This charity is near and dear to my heart for many reasons. During my many years of living downtown, PAWS Chicago took in and saved several animals that I found injured, helpless, & homeless.
Every picture I've shared on my page is an animal that has come from a shelter or rescue. My oldest fur-friend is now 20 and peacefully sleeping in her bed hiding from Meatball (a.k.a. Sir Meatball of Chalupa Batman) as I type. While some of my fur family is no longer with me, each one of them has provided me with endless love and abundant memories.
For the 2021 Bank of America Chicago Marathon I am running in memory of Wall-ee, Brady, Boo-Boo, Inky, Layla, and Ethel. I am running FOR Mags, Gracie, Chloe, Meatball, Morrie (Tito Bandito Burrrrrito), Franny, Frank, Heidi, Shelby, Lilly-Lou Bear, and Earl. I AM RUNNING FOR THEIR LIVES. Please help me support PAWS Chicago and your local no-kill shelter.
PAWS Chicago is dedicated to building No Kill communities – starting with a No Kill Chicago – where all healthy and treatable pets are saved. Since PAWS Chicago’s founding in 1997, the number of homeless animals euthanized per year in Chicago has dropped more than 80 percent. In 2016, PAWS Chicago found loving homes for more than 5,100 homeless pets. But there is more work to be done and your generosity is crucial to this effort.
Please consider supporting me by making a donation and helping PAWS Chicago provide vital medical care, food and shelter to thousands of homeless pets this year. PAWS receives no government funding and relies solely on people like you to help provide continued care for Chicago's homeless animals.
Your support will allow us to build a truly humane and compassionate community, one pet at a time. Please consider donating to my cause.
If you are feeling extra generous, please consider sharing my page with your network or check with your employer if they will match your donation to make the most out of your generosity.
Cheers and thanks!
