Welcome to My Page

Hello friends!
It is with great excitement that I tell you that I am training for the Chicago Marathon as a member of Team PAWS, which will take place on October 11, 2020. Please consider supporting me along this journey by making a donation and helping PAWS Chicago provide vital medical care, food and shelter to thousands of homeless pets this year.
As some of you already know, I began running 7 years ago when I signed up for my first half marathon. At the time, that seemed almost like an impossible goal, but I was able to complete the race, and since then I have run 3 more half marathons and many other small races (if you want a laugh, scroll down and look at the pictures of me running over the years!). Running a marathon has been a goal of mine for a few years now, and I'm so excited to be able to run one in my favorite city.
When it came time to choose a charity to run with for the marathon, I knew right away that I wanted to work with PAWS Chicago. Back in October, I adopted Addison, who has been the best cat in the entire world. If you haven't seen pictures of her, there are plenty below to see just how cute she is!
PAWS Chicago is dedicated to building No Kill communities – starting with a No Kill Chicago – where all healthy and treatable pets are saved. Since PAWS Chicago’s founding in 1997, the number of homeless animals euthanized per year in Chicago has dropped more than 80 percent. In 2016, PAWS Chicago found loving homes for more than 5,100 homeless pets. But there is more work to be done and your generosity is crucial to this effort. Your support will allow us to build a truly humane and compassionate community, one pet at a time.
If you are feeling extra generous, please consider sharing my page with your network or check with your employer if they will match your donation to make the most out of your generosity.
Thank you for your support!
