Will You Help Homeless Dogs and Cats and Be Part of a No-Kill Chicago?

Angelica Semler Welch

Angelica Semler Welch

Dear Supporter,

On October 13, I'll be heading to the starting line of the 2019 Chicago Marathon as a member of Team PAWS, raising money to support the mission of PAWS Chicago and to help build a no-kill Chicago.

When PAWS was founded in 1997, Chicago shelters euthanized 42,000 cats and dogs. (Yes, in one year alone.) Since then, the euthanasia rate in Chicago has dropped by 91 percent thanks to the tireless efforts of everyone at PAWS Chicago.

I'm asking for your help to bring more meaning to the countless hours of training and the hundreds of miles I've logged this year. (Not to mention all the trips to physical therapy.)

When you donate, you'll be making a real difference in the lives of thousands of cats and dogs -- not only in Chicago but across the country. PAWS is leading the way to create no-kill communities from coast to coast, and they regularly bring animals to the shelter from other states. Recently, they rescued dozens of abandoned animals from Hurricane Dorian.

Thank you for your support!
Angi

P.S. If you'll be out cheering on the runners on Oct. 13, let me know so I know where to look for you.
