Help me support PAWS 🐾

Bianca Passo

Hello family and friends!

I am embarking on a new adventure and running my first marathon on behalf of my favorite charity. Every dollar donated directly benefits PAWS Chicago and is tax deductible.

I have a special connection to PAWS Chicago. I started volunteering for PAWS when I initially moved to Chicago in 2012. One timid dog especially caught my attention. I entered his room and he stood backed into the corner freightened. He let me attach his leash to go for a walk, but there was not much interaction due to how scared and timid he was around people. After his walk we sat together in the lobby for a half an hour waiting for his room to be cleaned. Then my heart melted. He wagged his tail and put his front paws on my lap to say hello. This doesn't seem like a big deal, but for this scared pup everything was on his terms. We adopted Samson one week later and I truly believe that he chose me. Samson has become my best friend and part of our family. I am forever grateful to PAWS.

PAWS Chicago is dedicated to building No Kill communities – starting with a No Kill Chicago – where all healthy and treatable pets are saved. Since PAWS Chicago’s founding in 1997, the number of homeless animals euthanized per year in Chicago has dropped more than 90 percent. But there is more work to be done and your generosity is crucial to this effort.

Please consider supporting me by making a donation and helping PAWS Chicago provide vital medical care, food and shelter to thousands of homeless pets this year. PAWS receives no government funding and relies solely on people like you to help provide continued care for Chicago's homeless animals.

I am extremely grateful for the support I have received from friends, family, and neighbors. Thank you all!
