Welcome Supporters!

Welcome to my 7th year of Team PAWS Fundraising! Many of you have donated multiple years and I am grateful beyond words.

I feel so lucky to run for a charity that has played such a huge role in my life for an entire decade. For those of you that are unaware, I have been a PAWS volunteer since 2007 and a Team PAWS runner since 2010. I have an adopted 12 yr old cat from PAWS, Jadyn and another beautiful 17 year old girl, Taylor.

Most of you have heard about my mission to shut down puppy mills, pet stores who "sell" animals and unlicensed breeders. Every time I hear of another rescue story, it warms my heart. PLEASE THINK before you decide a certain breed is what you HAVE to HAVE. Thousands and thousands of animals die every night just because they don't have a home. Let's be real people, who needs to spend $5,000 on a full bred dog that you are never going to show. Rescues are truly the best (and much cheaper, you can donate the rest of the funds that you were going to spend to PAWS). Also, fact - 1 in every 4 dogs in a shelter is a pure-breed. Be patient and you can save a life!

PAWS also gets a 4-star rating from charity navigator. This is the highest ranking you can get. This means almost all of the money that you donate is going directly to support the animals. It has also won Chicago charity of the year to "run for", the last few years.PAWS Chicago is dedicated to building No Kill communities – starting with a No Kill Chicago – where all healthy and treatable pets are saved. Since PAWS Chicago’s founding in 1997, the number of homeless animals euthanized per year in Chicago has dropped more than 80 percent. In 2016, PAWS Chicago found loving homes for more than 5,100 homeless pets. But there is more work to be done and your generosity is crucial to this effort.

Please consider supporting me by making a donation and helping PAWS Chicago provide vital medical care, food and shelter to thousands of homeless pets this year. PAWS receives no government funding and relies solely on people like you to help provide continued care for Chicago's homeless animals.

Your support will allow us to build a truly humane and compassionate community, one pet at a time. Please consider donating to my cause.

If you are feeling extra generous, please consider sharing my page with your network or check with your employer if they will match your donation to make the most out of your generosity.

Thank you for your support!
