Thank you for visiting our Team Muffin Page for the 21st Annual PAWS Chicago 5K Walk/Run For Their Lives!

I've been fostering with PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving) since November of 2021, about a month after my beloved cat Muffin passed away. We are running (and walking) this 5K in honor of her. PAWS does great work to save the lives of Chicago's homeless cats and dogs, and I hope you will consider joining or donating to team Muffin!

Every year in Chicago, nearly 9,000 cats and dogs are euthanized because they simply don’t have a place to call home. As people who loves animals, we cannot let this continue. That’s why we’ve decided to participate in and fundraise for PAWS Chicago’s 5K Walk/Run For Their Lives on Saturday, September 10, 2022. We hope you will consider supporting this effort by joining our team and/or donating today.

PAWS Chicago is a national model in No Kill animal sheltering, committed to bringing an end to the killing of homeless cats and dogs.  As Chicagoland’s largest No Kill shelter, and one of the largest in the nation, PAWS has helped to reduce the number of homeless pets killed in the city by 91% since its founding in 1997.  Entering its 25th year in 2022, PAWS Chicago has grown from a grassroots organization to a national leader in the No Kill movement, guiding other communities in how to dramatically reduce the euthanasia of homeless cats and dogs. Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest independent evaluator, has rated PAWS Chicago at its highest 4-star ranking for 19 consecutive years—an accomplishment that less than 1% of the charities in the nation have reached. PAWS receives no government funding and relies solely on people like you to help provide continued care for Chicago's homeless animals.

Thank you for your support!
